The crew & responsibilities
The job is getting Barney from Gardens back to Gardens in under 19 hours, or under 26 if things go the way things usually go. Everyone has a title. Some of the titles mean something.
Every one of you is at every crew station, so these are the jobs you do when you get there. Illustrations are on their way. Until then you’re your initials, which suits some of you.
Rules of engagement
Help him anywhere other than a crew station and he gets a 30-minute penalty. That includes “just a quick sip” on the side of the road. Josh will be enforcing this.
Chairs are for the crew. The one exception is Hout Bay, where he gets 5 minutes in a chair while his socks get changed. Davey ends the sitting.
Nine people shouting “you’re looking strong” at once sounds like an ambush. Mikey L talks food, Josh talks time, Matty talks to his head. Everyone else cheers from a respectful distance.
